Introduction

Christians recall that Jesus died and come back from the dead during a Mass ceremony, also known as Communion or Eucharist. The only service that could be held after sunset (and before daybreak the next day) was the “Christ-Mass,” therefore people attended it at Midnight! In this way, Christ-Mass becomes Christmas.

Beginning in the first week of December, people start their Christmas shopping. You must go to Thamel during the holiday season. The entire Thamel market is decked out in lights and Christmas trees for the holiday season. Throughout this festival, Thamel hosts a variety of events, performances, and seminars. Everyone is greeted and wished health and happiness.
